Kang Xing Master Plant
Shanghai, China

The master plan was derived out of the site’s landscape character and position within the greater region. The program for the 22 hectare site consists of approx. 2,000 dwelling units and over 19,000 sq. metres of commercial and community amenity space. The plan’s structure is defined by the central canal, which creates opportunities for linking water throughout the neighbourhoods, and provides the basis for a strong open space network. Recreational, cultural and social amenities for residents and visitors are provided at the link between neighbourhoods. In partnership with Phillips Farevaag Smallenberg Ltd.
