Argyll East and West
are located at the core of the Theological Neighbourhood on the UBC
campus. The building's form and massing is designed to provide a
composed,
but strong front
facing the historic Iona Building. The entries and forecourts reinforce
and provide a strong connection to the street and urban open space
fronting Iona Commons. Cut granite was used on the facades fronting
the Iona, while the remaining facades were composed of concrete and
glass to take advantage of the panoramic views of Burrard Inlet and
Vancouver Island beyond. |
