Careers

Bob Worden and Doug Ramsay started Ramsay Worden Architects in 1989 with a small group of employees with a common interest in carefully crafted buildings and human scaled, livable communities.  Thirty-three years later these architecture and urban design values are still the foundation of our work and some of those original employees are still with RWA Group.  We continue to look for new staff members who share our values and contribute new skills, perspectives and interests as we grow into the future.

We are a creative team which values a supportive, stable and diverse working environment and are committed to sharing knowledge to support learning and growth.  We work in teams where personal accountability and the ability to collaborate and problem solve are highly valued.

We offer competitive salaries commensurate with experience and knowledge, as well as benefits to support your professional development, health and wellbeing.

Benefits that Support You

GROWTH AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT

We value an open mind, knowledge sharing, asking questions, and the ability to continually learn and upgrade our skills.  Resources are available including training, workshops, and mentorship from senior colleagues to support personal and professional goals.

RWA Group has a management structure with opportunities for growth and leadership.  With commensurate experience and knowledge, employees may join the RWA Group Associates and participate in office management, provide leadership and share company profits.

We have regular Lunch and Learns (pre-covid) that focus on keeping up with industry standards and best practices; share what’s new in the design world; brainstorm ideas for new projects; and sometimes share vacation photos.

SOCIAL EVENTS

Covid has changed the way we have fun.  In BC time (Before Covid) we had regular social events including Friday afternoon happy hour, summer outdoor staff parties, table tennis tournaments, celebrations for “new family members” (babies) and new staff.  We intend on resuming these events when it’s safe including our epic Christmas parties.

LIFE INSURANCE

RWA Group offers a competitive group life insurance and disability plan that includes life, long term
disability and accidental death & dismemberment insurance for all qualifying employees.

COVID PROTOCOL

During the pandemic we have implemented strategies to ensure our staff members feel safe, connected and included.
