About This Project

Village Square

Village Square is located in Wesbrook Place, an emerging neighbourhood on UBC’s south campus. The building program combines market residential and second floor office space over a mix of street level residential, retail and restaurant units. This mix of uses relate to the variety of commercial and residential conditions adjacent to the site. Dark masonry contrasts with white cladding and glazing to establish strong vertical and horizontal proportions. Transparent commercial/retail units combine with ground level residential to produce an engaging, diverse streetscape. This project completes Wesbrook’s Village Centre, linking the neighbourhood’s commercial core with the surrounding residential neighbourhood.
