The Peninsula
This development is located on the confluence of the North and South Fraser Rivers in the Port Royal neighbourhood of Queensborough, New Westminster. It established a precedent for height and density in Queensborough and was therefore the product of extensive public engagement. Important architectural and urban design considerations include the tower silhouette, form and details, viewed from the many New Westminster vantage points, and integrating the development into the Port Royal neighbourhood including its emerging industrial/maritime aesthetic.
